Ede - six platoons have the Assistance Unit (AU) from the Royal Military Police, prior to the NSS, 24 platoons ME practiced in the Mobilization Complex Ede-Driesprong. Army Staff acted here as a practice enemy.
The series of exercises, the last of which took place today, was held in preparation for the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in The Hague on 24th and 25th March. Per exercise, units of 11 Airmobile Brigades from Schaarsbergen, 13 Mechanized Brigades from Oirschot and 43 Gemechaniseerde Brigade from Havelte provided about 100 man of staff as 'training enemy'. To them the task to make it as difficult as possible for the platoons of KMAR and police and rioters.
The NSS Summit, which is about nuclear safety in the world, is the largest ever organized by the Netherlands. The Netherlands then welcomes nearly 60 world leaders, about 5,000 delegation members and at least 3,000 journalists.

De serie oefeningen, waarvan de laatste vandaag plaatsvond, werd gehouden ter voorbereiding op de Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in Den Haag op 24 en 25 maart. Per oefening leverden eenheden van 11 Luchtmobiele Brigade uit Schaarsbergen, 13 Gemechaniseerde Brigade uit Oirschot en 43 Gemechaniseerde Brigade uit Havelte zo’n 100 man personeel als ‘oefenvijand’. Aan hen de taak het de pelotons van KMAR en politie zo lastig mogelijk te maken als relschoppers.
De NSS, die draait om nucleaire veiligheid in de wereld, is de grootste die ooit door Nederland is georganiseerd. Nederland verwelkomt dan bijna 60 wereldleiders, ongeveer 5.000 delegatieleden en minstens 3.000 journalisten.
